Arrested is going to Showtime!

What fantastic news! Arrested Development has been picked up by Showtime for a 26 episode, two season deal.

I'm excited to see the show back, no matter where. While I do share some of the concerns that some other bloggers have voiced about the producers taking their newfound freedom to change the texture of the show, I think it's a bit overblown. They know their audience and what they love, and even if the numbers stay the same as what they were on Fox, that's plenty big for a pay cable net like Showtime to stay afloat.

Thank you Showtime!

Of course, you realize this means I'll have to upgrade my satellite service. Either that, or rent the DVD when it comes out...
I'll be looking forward to seeing what happens next to this family of crazies.

Thanks for the good news, tivogirl! :-)
