Exciting night for Prison Break!
Tonight's the big night we've all been waiting for! Michael finally executes his plan to break out of prison. I'm dying to see how it all comes together, but most of all how the hell he gets his idiot brother out of the hole to join them! Can't wait!

Goodbye, Threshold
Poor Carla Gugino. For the second time in two years her vehicle television series
has been canned. Sure, Karen Sisco was a much better program than Threshold is, but it's still just another example of network impatience and poor handling killing a show. It's sci-fi... leave it on Friday nights (see X-Files, Stargate, etc)! Putting it on hiatus for weeks on end and then moving it to Tuesday nights? Yeah, that's gonna help grow the audience. Duh!
We still love you, Carla.

Holy... freakin... agughghghgh!!
FInally, FINALLY! the obnoxious Weavers are last. About to be eliminated. In my own back yard - bonus!! But no. Non-freaking-elimination round. What the hell?!?! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fox sucks
Just one day after announcing that Arrested Development would be preempted through the rest of the month, here comes the
official announcement that it's cancelled. Sure,
we all knew it was coming. Sure, they also cancelled the crapfest that is Kitchen Confidential. It still sucks. Fox still sucks. I hate them.
Just tell me this... how is it that utter junk like Stacked and The War at Home are getting promotional money thrown at them by the truckload and picked up for full seasons, but Arrested Development has to struggle along and get unceremoniously dumped?
HBO, are you paying attention?! GRAB THIS SHOW NOW!!!

You better just check yourself, Fox
I just got a press release from Fox. Most of it is a glowing promo of Prison Break, being that the "fall finale", as they're calling it, is coming up at the end of this month. In preparation, and to grab some viewers who may have stopped watching, Fox will be rerunning the previous week's episode prior to the new episode every Monday for the next three weeks.
I like Prison Break, so it sounds great, right?
But wait. What's usually on before it?
OH yeah, Arrested Development (and, as if it matters, Kitchen Confidential). NOT cool, Fox!
It's pretty well known at this point that KC is bombing and is probably going to get the axe, so it's not looking good for AD at this point. Preempting during sweeps is not a good sign, especially when it's lumped in with another show that's already on its death bed.
I knew it was inevitable. Arrested Development is too good a show for network television. I just thought it might have one more last chance to make it. HBO, are you paying attention? When Fox dumps this, you better pick it up before it even hits the ground. Just think how awesome it could be on a supportive network (and with swear words!).

Those $*%&*!! Weavers have got to GO!
It's bad enough that they are ignorant, annoying and hypocritical, but the Weavers have now outlasted my favorite team in the Amazing Race Family Edition, the Gaghans. I'm reduced to rooting for the Paolo family. It's downright shameful.
I hate not having a team to root for, but there's nobody left I particularly like. My only hope is that rotten Paolo kid turns around and starts respecting his mother. Oh, and it'd be nice if a couple of the Weavers had an "accident" in the next leg. Grrrrrrrr...

Vacations and the Tivo Timewarp
As you probably noticed from the lack of postings in the past week or so, tivogirl has been on vacation. The great thing about vacations and Tivo is you don't have to worry about missing your shows - they're all waiting for you when you get home. The bad thing about that is you end up in the Tivo Timewarp.
For example, last night was a new Amazing Race, but because I hadn't yet had time to watch last week's AR, I couldn't watch the new episode. I'm now two full episodes behind and am starting to panic! I almost need a day off after vacation just to catch up on all the shows on my Tivo... hey, there's an idea!
Thankfully, with sweeps starting, a lot of shows were in reruns last week or not on at all, which helps. I plan to sit down and catch up on AR tonight, so if you see me, don't tell me who's been eliminated just yet.
